About

Reggie “Art” Gillumo is an acclaimed sculptor and visual artist known for creating emotionally resonant, textured art that bridges the gap between vision and touch. Inspired by his grandfather’s blindness, Gillumo developed a unique textured style that invites both physical and emotional engagement. His art is deeply rooted in legacy, accessibility, and community, transforming everyday materials into powerful, sensory-driven works. Through public installations and community-based projects, Art Gillumo redefines what it means to "feel" art, making creativity inclusive and impactful. Gillumo was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Visual Arts at the 39th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards, presented by Mayor Muriel Bowser. Art Gillumo’s work is showcased at his own gallery, The Texture Gallery, located in the heart of Washington, D.C. at 555 12th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004, United States.
